Vacancy Description

The Government have set up a Rapid Rehousing Pathway fund for local authorities with rough sleepers. West Berkshire Council were successful in their bid for funding for 2019/20 so we are keen to recruit a Rough Sleeper Navigator with the skills to work closely with rough sleepers and support them in moving away from homelessness

The post holder will form part of the Housing Team and will work in partnership with all front line based teams in order to reduce rough sleeping. The Navigator service will act as a single point of contact for identified rough sleepers with complex needs who have multiple agencies involved, coordinating support and following them through their journey out of homelessness.

Experience of working with those who are homeless and/or rough sleeping or of using services directly will be viewed as an asset in this role.

This is a fixed term role for 12 months - Funding limited project
